Our favourite pretty woman is back with her latest single 'Heart Emoji'. As if we couldn't love Sukie anymore, her music continues to showcase her stunning 'Sukie Style'. Putting every aspect of her personality and talent into what she does, she knows exactly want to share with us. Creating her own artwork and taking charge with her visual ideas, Sukie is way more than just a singer-songwriter.

'Heart Emoji' comes as a reminiscence track where Sukie looks back on the old times of being young, wild and free. Feeling like she lost some part of her freedom whilst growing up during Covid times, she perfectly describes what a strange time it was especially for those moving into adolescence. The delicate pop track is definitely one to watch out for, we've already added it to our playlist!

“Covid hit when I was in my last year of uni and I ended up moving away from all my friends in the midst of lockdown. Most people I didn’t get to say goodbye to. It was such a crazy contrast going from being surrounded by all my best friends to moving to a city where I knew no-one. It took me a year to make any new friends and I was really really lonely - that’s where heart emoji came from. I missed my friends so much! I missed feeling sexy and getting ready with my girl friends, helping each other do our hair and makeup. I missed the silly drama and getting too drunk and stupid dancing in a club with a sticky floor. I even missed the hangovers. I wrote the song about mourning the loss of that carefree life, knowing that I’d never get it back. I feel like this was such a universal feeling at the time, when we were all stuck inside for months on end, and I wanted the music video to capture that lonely experience."

Sukie also gives us a music video for 'Heart Emoji'. Filled with colour and Sukie's friends, she takes us around her house as we witness everyone having fun and getting ready to go out. A video for the 'good old days'.

Supporting José González, The Lumineers and Susanne Sundførn on their tours, Siv found the inspiration for this song behind back in her homeland.

Reconnecting with her story, Siv allowed herself to be open and honest, leaving this track ajar for people to relate to. This track is full of colourful melodies and Siv's comforting vocals.

“I knew that in going there it might awaken some difficult memories, but I was completely taken aback by how intensely I felt pulled back into who I was and how I felt all those years ago. I realised I had some unpacking to do, so that I could begin to properly come to terms with and understand those memories.

“Most of the Time is about not being able to forget a particularly difficult relationship from my past. When left undealt with, the memories seemed to heighten in my sleep, in my subconscious, day and night, almost as if I was being haunted. It's about how our past affects our future, how it can affect our personalities morphing into someone slightly different. Being back in this place again after such a long time was a much greater shock to my system than I would have ever thought it could be, and it forced me to unbox a lot of things I thought I had safely stored away in the back corners of my mind. In the end, it's about reminding myself that I am feeling better now, most of the time.”
