Following on from her previous single 'Bible', Lizzie Reid is determined to showcase her sheer versatility and project her soundscape to those who are yet to find her gems. After just selling-out three headlined shows of her own at The Glad Cafe she topped all that with two support slots for renowned artist Paolo Nutini (which is definitely one for the books!). Lizzie is also set to play at Latitude Festival this summer.

Lizzie takes 'Warpaint' from an upbeat angle, with her spectacular songwriting fused with gleeful guitar chords, it's an exciting venture into her narrative. Telling the story of an unexpected arrival of a crush with a new relationship, Lizzie sets out to shrug it off and continue to live the night. With layers of rhythm, 'Warpaint' is a song for when the heart drops to your stomach for a second but you realise it will be alright.

Speaking about the song, Lizzie said: “‘Warpaint’, to me, is a song that says enjoy today and stop worrying about the details. There are challenges ahead but for now, live in the moment, enjoy making music and go out and experience new things."

“I feel that its story is something that most people can relate to: you fancy someone

who doesn’t fancy you back! It’s not the end of the world because the relationship was over before it ever began. There’s no point in getting upset about such things. It’s a lighthearted song and it gives me a chance to let loose for a bit when I perform it live.”

Determined to have a good time with this single, 'Warpaint' is part of Lizzie Reid's upcoming EP 'Mooching' due to be released this August.

19-year-old artist, Gabby Rivers, returns with her latest alt-indie offering 'Paradise'. Along with her band, Gabby has been around the country performing at shows including: Latitude Festival, Sundown Music Festival, Wildpaths, The Cambridge Junction, the Apex in Bury St Edmunds and several more.

'Paradise' comes with a good motto of 'living your best life'. Gabby describes her kind of paradise, which involves: "Socializing with friends, Playing/ going to festivals, Writing and creating new music, Traveling, Eating good vegetarian food (Big fan of anything with halloumi in) and overall just being happy."

"Paradise is a huge summer tune all about living your best life, living the

summer you want to live and not feeling guilt for it. Attending all of the events and

chilling in the sunshine just overall doing what you want to do and not letting others

judge you for it or get to you. I went through a period of time in 2020-2021 where I was

in a couple of toxic friendships and mental health wasn't great and having that summer

time come around, it was a time to get rid of all of that negativity and live my life how I

wanted to."

Determined to make a name for herself Gabby is busy working hard for the future. 2023 will see her working on an exciting project along with plenty more live shows.

Birmingham alt-pop artist Eliza May releases her new single 'Candy Heart'. With her colourful persona and refreshing rightful passion, she really knows how to make herself known. Previously performing at Brighton Pride and supporting Declan J Donovan in 2020, she went on to headline the O2 Institute Birmingham in addition to headlining Sofar Sounds Birmingham.

Laden with bright guitar notes and Eliza's light vocals, 'Candy Heart' has an almost jazz feel to it. With a topping of groove, this song will be one for the season.

Eliza explains : “Candy Heart is a song I wrote back in 2020 based on my own relationship with my current boyfriend. It tells the story of a girl who’s figuring out how to break down her walls piece by piece and let her partner in during the early stages of their relationship. When you’ve previously been in bad relationships and a good one comes along, it feels absolutely magical like you’re on top of the world. Candy Heart perfectly encompasses that feeling. It’s a feel good, wholesome song perfect for the summer and fans of sweet treats.”

With the help of her band, Eliza has perfected her soundscape for her upcoming EP. Filled with funk, groove and layers of indie-pop, 'Candy Heart' is a track to define this. Along with an upcoming music video, Eliza will be playing at Y NOT? Festival and The Sunflower Lounge this summer.
