Interviews

20-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Mclaughin releases his new single 'Go With The Flow'. His rich vocals and beat filled flare work together to create a courageous complexion of a track.

This single comes as a part of his forthcoming album ‘Feel The Ground You Walk Upon' releasing later this March.

His music always finds the light in darkness, whilst touching on deep topics like burning out, mental health and leaving home, he always finds the positive in every situation. A refreshing voice and point of view in the music scene!

“I was living on my own for a couple months over the winter, which was pretty hard going. That time of the year is normally all about getting together with family, relaxing and eating/drinking way too much, so that definitely made it feel worse that everyone was isolated from each other. I had many days where I couldn’t find much hope, but those around me really got me through with phone calls/walks in the snow. It’s kind of just saying “yeah, it’s tough! We’ve had a s**t year, but we’ll get through it some way or another, together!”.

From studying music to creating melodious masterpieces Taura Lamb is one to keep your eyes locked on.

With smooth R&B pop beats singles being released on the first Friday of every month for the past 10 months with outstanding support from big platforms, including BBC Radio 1! Taura has shown her dedication to her music working with several producers and fellow artists to perfect everything. Artists such as James Smith, edbl, ST LUNA, and writers/producers Bit Funk, Chloe Martini, Pearse MacIntyre, Nicky Earl, Jacques Jenkins and 808Charmer.

The centre single from Taura Lamb's debut album 'Revisions' is 'Love Song' which is accompanied by an ingenious music video filmed by Will Warr (here). The video has an iconic idea bringing widely-adored album covers to life including her own.

Album covers:

1. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (Teenage Dream)

2. Adele - 21 (Lovesong)

3. Elvis - Blue Hawaii (Can't Help Falling In Love)

4. Taylor Swift - Fearless (Love Story)

5. Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You Single

6. Etta James - At Last! (At Last)

7. Whitney Houston - My Love Is Your Love Single

8. Mariah Carey - The Emancipation of Mimi - (We Belong Together)

9. Beyonce - I Am...Sasha Fierce (Halo)

Starting the album over two years ago when starting national lockdown. When all creativity felt like a loss to most, Taura flipped it around and moved more into her musical talent. Collaborating over zoom and going forward she continued developing, revisiting and perfecting the album.

“Due to the circumstances, ‘Revisions’ became a curation of multiple creative processes. Some of these tracks are updated versions of songs I wrote a long time ago and couldn’t leave behind, some have been written virtually through lockdown, often with producers I still haven’t met in person, and some I had the pleasure of writing whilst sitting in a room with other artists and starting from scratch. All the tracks are tied together through their shared obstructed processes, leading to almost all of them sounding completely different to how they started, going through many ‘revisions’ to get to where they are now.”

- TAURA LAMB

"We created smooth R&B pop music that can be personal and vulnerable and strong and empowering depending on which part of the journey you tune in." - Taura Lamb

From gaining an absurd amount of support from her loyal TikTok viewers to announcing supporting Chelsea Cutler on her US tour. ROSIE is dropping new single 'Next Life' out 4th March.

22-year-old ROSIE's realness focuses centre in her music as she flips negative experiences into infectious songwriting. The piano ballad track gently opens up to a hard side of life; mental wellness, self-love and inner growth. Her clever play on words and rhythm makes her a steadfast determination for reaching the stars, a pop force not to be reckoned with.

“‘Next Life’ is a complex song for me"

“Though it is painfully heartbreaking, I wanted to add a sense of hope each time the chorus circles back, ‘maybe in my next life I can live my best life.’ This song evokes a wide range of emotions, but I hope that ultimately it sends the message: we’re all just human beings, doing our best to feel our best, whether it is in this life, or in our next life.”

- ROSIE

This new single comes after ROSIE released her much-anticipated debut EP, ‘20mg of Happiness,’ on Arista Records.
