NORA Colours In The World With Her New Shades Of Alt-Pop

Beginning her journey as a singer at the age of 17, Norwegian talent NORA displays her refined sound in her anticipated EP, ‘Boring Personality Disorder’. As well as three of her already released singles, which have been celebrated by several radio stations and music magazines, ‘Boring Personality Disorder’ also boasts three as yet unheard tracks, bringing the EP to a six song trip through NORA’s experiences of heartbreak, dating, and womanhood.

Empowerment has been a recurrent theme throughout NORA’S life, recognising the importance in self-acceptance, and embracing the “weird” parts of yourself that really define who you are.

Having always enjoyed storytelling, it’s clear to see NORA’s creative process when transferring her own experiences and feelings into her songwriting, taking aspects from a creative and busy childhood and letting them feed into her music.

When speaking on ‘Boring Personality Disorder’, NORA says:

“This ep means a lot to me for many reasons. First of all, the person I was when I first started writing it, is not the same person I am today. Each track truly was a journey to a self-empowerment I didn’t even know I had lost along the way of teenage years and young adult life filled of heartbreak and struggling to not actually wanting to fit in, but still feeling a pressure to.”

Having already achieved so much so early in her career, it’s clear to see why NORA has been noticed, having one of her original tracks arranged by the Norwegian Royal Navy Orchestra, and as recognition for a significant impact on creative and cultural life in Norway, NORA won the Talent and Cultural Award.

‘Boring Personality Disorder’ is an immense display of talent, a clean and refined sound, backed up with clever and relatable lyrics, and a mix of dancey bedroom pop, this EP will be perfect for fans of Charli XCX and ELIO.
